The following dogs are available for adoption through Aussie Rescue & Placement Helpline.  These dogs are located in foster homes in Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee or Northwest Florida.   http://www.aussierescue.org.  To complete an adoption application click Here .  Completing an adoption application is the first step to adding one of our Aussies to your family.  The application must be completed before contacting the rep listed for each dog.

Our dogs live in a foster home as a member of their foster family.  All dogs are heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered.

Please note: There may be other applications on these dogs. It is not first come, first serve; it's the home that best suits the dog as well as the best dog for the home. Therefore, all applications will be considered.

We could not do all we do for the dogs without great sponsors.  See them listed here!

Hope -- ARPH #11818

Hope is a blue merle Aussie between 1 and 2 years old who was found lying outside the shelter facility the Sumter County Humane Society moved from with both her front legs broken.  She must have been left there by someone because she couldn't walk at all.  Hope needed surgery to put plates in both her legs.

Dr. Janet Welch at Carriage Hills Animal Clinic performed Hope's surgery on December 22.  She is doing well four weeks out from surgery, but it will be several weeks before she is ready for adoption.  The surgery cost $2,500, so donations would be most appreciated.

Hope is a very loving girl who wants to be near her person all the time.  She gets along well with other dogs.  Hope wants to chase squirrels very badly, but can't run until her legs are healed.  She also needs to be spayed still.

Hope is located in Montgomery, AL.
