Border Collies are wonderful dogs. They were bred to help shepherds herd many sheep at once. Smart, sweet, loyal, loving, athletic, fun and energetic. These qualities make them a wonderful addition to your life. Sadly, these qualities are also the reason many end up in rescue. A Border Collie is NOT a dog that will be content to be a couch potato. Without enough exercise, both mental and physical, a Border Collie can become a neurotic, destructive mess. In the right home though, once you've owned a Border Collie, you're forever spoiled.
